Our Guntur bus station is one of the bus stations in the country.Dialy some thousands of busses will travel through our bus station.To control the flow of buses the govt decided to establish a mini bus station for non stop and city bus services.
A separate mini bus station would be established for non-stop buses and city services in Guntur. The number of buses arriving and leaving the RTC’s NTR bus station in the city has increased and there is shortage of platforms, causing inconvenience to the public in spotting the buses they need to board. With many of the non-stop buses stopping out of the bus station, vehicular traffic on the road is also being interrupted.To overcome the shortage of platforms, the RTC, Guntur, authorities planned construction of mini bus station with 13 platforms, which will begin functioning in the next two weeks.
According to reports, there are 1,024 RTC buses belonging to various depots in Guntur district and another 1,000 buses from other districts and neighbouring states arrive in Guntur every day. APSRTC-Guntur owns 2.25 acres. The mini bus station is estimated to cost `2 crore. Keeping the convenience of the passengers in view, the mini bus station is being built near the main road.
