Our Guntur was not ranked in Centre’s swachh survey of 75 cities in 2018.Our Guntur ranked 118 in the overall 434 cities conducted that year. Swachh Guntur 2018
Guntur East MLA Mustaffa and East MLA M.Venugopal Reddy called the people of Guntur to cooperate with GMC for obtaining better rank this year.They asked the people to maintain sanitation and not throw garbage on roads and to keep city clean.
GMC Commissioner Anuradha garu said that there are 2000 staff in GMC out of them 1600 were sanitation staff who were serving 7 lakh population in city.She also said recently 5 compactor were placed to remove Garbage.
She said team from New Delhi is visiting Guntur to inspect sanitation and to assign Swachh rank.GMC conducted awarenesa program in the market in regard of this.
This is not only the task of GMC to keep city clean it is a collective task of both GMC and every individual.It is our duty to keep Guntur clean and strive for better swacch rank for our city this time.
