Digital Payments Enabled at Guntur Railway Station
Wow… to make Digi India Modi has Taken various steps to make forward our country in development . The Launch of Digipay can make Cashless Transactions . The passengers can make transactions in 4 stations through PoS ( Point of Sale ) Machines available im various places of Station.
Under the ‘Digi-Pay’ station Kacheguda was the 1st to Be completed under SCR zone to become 100% digi payment.
Railway minister Suresh Prabhakar on saturday has declared Guntur, Vijayawada , Tirupati and Kakinada are 100% Digital Payments Service Stations .He launched the services online from Hi-Tech City Railway station Hyderabad .
In these stations , Tirupati Station handled largest flow of passengers as handling 78,000 passengers are passing through the station and generates 73.43 lakhs/day
DIGITAL INDIA IS BECOMING TRUE
The Guntur station would be a vital link to the sub-urban corridor of Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali regions. The station was contributing 7.78 lakh revenue/day to the railways by handling 44,000 passengers a day.
Idea behind ‘Digi-Pay’ Station campaign is that railway stations should become digital payment where as cashless transactions can be carried out for ticket booking, payments towards parking fee, fruit juice stalls, books stalls ,toilets , retiring room, cloak room and other facilities, SCR officials said.
