Gannavaram Airport’s name got a name i.e Ntr Amaravathi International Airport
Amaravathi : The Vijayawada Airport will be Renamed To“Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Amaravati International Airport “and the one at Renigunta near Tirupati as “Sri Venkateswara International Airport.”
The Cabinet which Met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu here on Thursday approved a proposal to this effect.
The state government will Convey to the Centre the decision and request for the change in names.
The Cabinet also decided to hand over the required land to the Bhogapuram Airport Authority at basic price for setting up a greenfield airport at Orvakallu of Kurnool district. 
Till the Greenfield Aiirport becomes a Reality in Mangalagiri, which officials say will take at least 30 years, the Government will use ‘Ntr Amaravati airport’ as the Capital’s Airport
