NTR Sujala water plant: It will supply purified drinking water to 29 villages in Capital Region Amaravati. District Collector Kona sasidhar inspected the works of one of the Sujala water plant taken up at Venkatayapalem in Thullur Mandal.
This is the second project taken up by the NTR Trust in Andhra Pradesh. It has already started a water plant at kuppam in Chittoor District. Another water plant will be coming soon at Vinukonda in Guntur District.
This scheme works like this. First, purified water will be supplied to villages through pipelines from the Source plant. The villages are able to store water in tanks. They can draw 20 litres of drinking purified water at 2 by swiping a card.
Guntur Rural SP K Narayana Naik, Joint Collector M Venkateswara Rao and APCRDA Commissioner Ch Sridhar also accompanied the District Collector during his inspection.
