To travel from Vijayawada to Amaravathi it takes around 1 hr by road.But we can reach Amaravathi in 6min from Vijayawada.This is not myth it was possible through Hyperloop technology.
India’s first Hyper loop will likely to come between Amaravati and Vijayawada soon.In the recent CII Partnership summit in Vizag the co-founder and Chairman of Hyper loop Technologies Bibop Gresta said that travelling between Amaravati and Vijayawada would be matter of minutes.He said that Amaravati was a good place and unique to start this Hyperloop.He also added Amaravati was a city with huge density of population and lack of infrastructutre and a need for a faster, sustainable and efficient way to move people and goods.
“Our technology is totally different. We have created a system that uses a combination of renewable energy to generate more electricity than it consumes. This ensures affordable cost of construction and maintenance… the capsule can move at a very high speed with very little energy, making the system highly efficient” he said.
The Los Angles-based Hyperloop transportation Technologies(HTT) has signed a MoU(Memorandum of understanding) with APEDB(AP Economic development Board) CEO Krishna Kishore last year.
Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon musk is the brain child of this Hyperloop project.Hyper loop is a 760mph(1223.101kmph) subsonic train which contains pods to travel through a partial vacuum tube.These pods would float using magnetic levitation.With so little friction in the tunnel, the pods would travel at high speeds.It is “Tube Modular transport system”.
