IMAGINARY PLAN OF VIJAYAWADA METRO RAIL
After formation of New capital Amaravathi. Vijayawada is chosenas Temporary capital and now it’s getting a new face with it’s metro plan. This is a big initiative taken by government to develop our new capital.
Amaravathi Metro Rail Corporation (AMRC) decided to start metro for ease of traffic in Future and now opened bids on wednesday. India’s biggest companies named L&T, Afcons and Simplex Infrastructers came forward and submmitted their bids for the construction of prestigious metro rail project in Vijayawada .
There are two phases of Vijayawada Metro Rail
PHASE 1- ELURU ROAD CORRIDOR
PHASE 2- BANDAR ROAD CORRIDOR
This bidding continues for one week said Rama Krishna Reddy (AMRCManaging Director).
Cost of this project
ELURU ROAD CORRIDOR- Rs 803 crore
BANDAR ROAD CORRIDOR- Rs 845 crore
Project out line-
Eluru Road Corridor- Pandit Nehru Bus station to Nidamanuru Village.
Bandar Road Corridor- Pandit Nehru Bus station to Penamaluru Village..
