Recently 24 cricket bookies was arrested and nearly 5 lakh rupees was seized by police within Chilakaluripet and narasaraopet limits.Addressing a press conference here, Guntur Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu said based on a complaint lodged by Tagidita Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Pandaripuram of Chilakaluripet, the police conducted a raid at the house of Tanneeru Venkateswarlu alias Panthulu at Vadderapalem in Chilakaluripet and arrested 11 persons including Venkateswarlu. The police also seized two TVs, one laptop, 11 cell phones, 150 grams of ganja and Rs 67,700 cash.
The worst thing with the betting gangs are they are even addicted to drugs and many illegal activities.Police gave warning to the bookies that they are going to be very harsh on betting this year.But they never cared the warnings and conducting betting in many areas.Recently in Vijayawada an engineering student died because he lost in betting of just 8000 rupees.
This betting was dismantling the lives of youth in their greedyness to the money.Plzzz don’t encourage betting.
