On 3rd March 2017 Guntur MP Galla Jayadev and East MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy And Railway manager has checked out available features in Guntur railway station and said features are going to available soon in Guntur railway station for people because of increasing traffic with respect to capital 
Galla Jayadev said “He has spoken to the Central Government regarding the Development of Guntur railway station day by day the traffic in Guntur railway station has been increased as it is located at capital region
On an average, the passenger traffic of the station stands at 21,238 per day. Everyday, a total of 44 express, 46 passenger and 18 EMU/DMU trains halt at the station. The station annually handles 7.01 MT of cargo and the average income generated by freight transport is ₹20.736 million
Currently Guntur railway station features free WiFi for the passengers and good Waiting hall 
Soon Guntur railway station will get many features and there will be more space and many Stalls which are helpful to passengers
