Global IT giant Google is going to set up its 1st ‘Google Code Lab’ in Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology(VVIT) near Pedakakani in our Guntur district.This was the 1st code lab by google in our country.VVIT is also a core partner of AP State Skill Development Corporation(APSSDC).
APSSDC providing training to 3rd year engineering students on Android technology.It also conducted training to students of class 6 to class 10 under a program called ‘Young Technocrafts’.By recognising these efforts by APSSDC Google came forward to establish ita first code lab in VVIT.
In our state 17,425 students from 82 colleges has completed training and another 2498 students are under training.APSSDC is trying to give Google certification to around 10000 students.This certificate will be most helpful during employment.The training will cost around Rs.6500 and APSSDC is paying half of it.
Under Google code to learning program students from 6th class to 10th class are trained in 4 periods.There are around 1,24,768 students have received training under this program.
