The Central government issued a notification to grant immigration status to Gannavaram airport(NTR Amaravati International Airport). This makes it easier for international flights to travel. Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu responded to the Home Secretary’s resignation to speed up the process of international services. Last month, a team led by Immigration Director Pravin Hora Singh and National Informatics Center (NIC) technical director Madhavendra Singh visited the department. The terminal building is already being constructed to operate international services at an airport of Rs.3 crore. At present, 55 persons from the state police department will be appointed to provide immigration services at Gannavaram airport to fly to other countries from here. As part of bilateral relations, immigration services are crucial.
