After the union finance minister Arun Jaitley from centre said that there will be no special status given to our state now another blow hit the state in the form of railway zone.Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba made it clear on Monday that that the state would not be given a separate railway zone.

The seperate railway zone was included in the 13th schedule of AP reorganisation act.The seperate zone was proposed by clubbing Waltair,Vijayawada,Guntur and Guntakal divisions. But the central govt confirms that there is seperate railway zone for AP.

Rajiv Gauba said that feasibility reports and the Railway Board were not in favour of a new railway zone for the state. He also said that a new port at Duggirajupatnam was not feasible, and asked the state to look for alternate site. This comes even as the state members of the BJP recently said that the Central govt would grant the state a separate railway zone.

Our AP leaders were failed to pressurize the central govt. The centre completely neglected AP in terms of development and funds.
